Checking In at Drs. Justison and Gladnick

When you first arrive for your dental appointment, we ask that you please call us before entering the building. To ensure our patients and staff stay safe, we strictly follow comprehensive cleaning procedures for every corner of our office—from common areas to restrooms and exam rooms. We also require all patients and staff to wear a mask and practice social distancing during each visit. When your specially-prepared exam room is ready, we will welcome you inside the office and take your temperature. If you have a temperature, we invite you to reschedule your appointment for another day. Once the check-in process is complete, we will take you to a newly-sanitized exam room to meet your dentist.

Your First Dental Exam Will Be A Breeze

During your first dental visit, your dentist in Wilmington may give you a dental x-ray to have a complete look at your gums and supporting bone structures. After your x-ray, you will receive a gentle, thorough cleaning session with one of our skilled hygienists. Throughout your examination, we will use medical-grade disinfectants to clean all equipment, and we will promptly sterilize dental instruments after each use. Upon completion of your teeth cleaning, your dentist in Wilmington will do the following:

  • Review your dental and medical histories
  • Examine your jaw and joint health
  • Evaluate your periodontal health
  • Check for cavities and infections
  • Chart any current dental repairs or replacements
  • Provide a thorough oral cancer screening

As your trusted local source for quality dental care, we are committed to creating a positive experience for each of our patients. We value open communication and honesty with our patients and staff, so we invite you to voice any concerns you may have. If you have any questions about your visit or experience pain or swelling, please call one of our team members for prompt assistance.

After Your Dental Appointment

Routine home and professional dental care are a must if you want to maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. We recommend brushing twice daily, flossing once per day, and visiting your dentist every six months. Professional dental cleanings and exams not only maintain your dental health, but they also act as preventive care. Your dentist will be able to examine your oral health and help prevent any potential issues.
