If you thought that cavities are just for kids who do not brush their teeth, think again.  According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, ninety-one percent of U.S adults with dental decay are between the ages of 20 and 64 and half of all adults experience tooth sensitivity. More than likely, you fall into one of these categories and are currently suffering from tooth sensitivity, enamel erosion, and frequent cavities. The good news is that you can proactively alleviate and reduce the likelihood of additional tooth damage.

The Fluoride Treatment

We treat patients with a fluoride varnish that reduces hypersensitivity along exposed roots, improves enamel resistance against acid, and reduces the likelihood of cavities.  Patients who can benefit the most from a fluoride varnish treatment are those with diabetes, acid reflux, heart disease, or those with an autoimmune disease.  People who are undergoing radiation treatment, or those who take medication that causes dry mouth, or those who smoke or vape are also likely to experience symptoms that can be diminished with a fluoride treatment.
